Tattoos originated many centuries back but have inspired the masses since only the last decade, having a tattoo has become a style statement for the youth in the entire world.You don’t have to look far in a crowd to see a tattoo today. Among people 18 to 30 years old, one person in four is inked. In the next few years, 40% of this age group likely will be. Once a guy thing, now up to 65% of those with tats are women. But apart from making you a stunner among your counterparts tattoo can be disastrous too.There have been ample medical cases where having a tattoo has cost people dearly. Mentioning the risks involved in getting a tattoo done

1.Infection: Any type of tattoo involves health risks. The worst is a very dangerous infection, like HIV or hepatitis C, from unclean needles.

2.Allergic reactions: Some people are allergic to tattoo inks. This happens most with reds.

3.Reaction to light: Some ink reacts to light, especially sunlight. So if you don’t keep a new tattoo covered for a couple of weeks, your skin can swell or turn red.

4.Keloids: Keloids are areas of scar tissue that are raised from the skin. They can start under the tattoo and spread out.

5.Blood Borne Diseases: Tattoo needles get bloody. If yours wasn’t cleaned well between uses, you could be exposed to diseases spread by blood, like hepatitis B or C, tetanus, or HIV.

6.MRI complications: You may notice that tattooed area swells or burns when you get an MRI. This is rare and usually goes away without causing problems.

7.Problem while removing: If an allergic reaction or infection doesn’t clear up or if you just hate the tattoo you can have it removed. Laser removal technology has gotten better, but it isn’t perfect. It rarely leaves scars, but it can change your skin’s texture or color, especially if you have a darker tone.

One should always remember these points before reaching the studio to flaunt a piece of art on his or her body
